Pretty much ever since I graduated from college I’ve been involved in some sort of volunteer or charity work. Not really sure where it stems from, but I’ve always felt the need to give back in some way! First it began with a children’s charity (that has now morphed into The Spirited Bostonians), then a music-filled youth organization that I’ve been a part of for about 2 years.
Most recently, I had the opportunity to help out Last Hope K9 Rescue for a day. They’re a local animal rescue group who works to place dogs into foster or “forever” homes. They had their first small adoption event on Boston Common (dubbed “Fosters on Common”), where I got to meet Macy and Roxy.
Meet Macy! She got adopted fairly quickly…are you surprised?? What a sweet puppy.
Next up is Roxy! She’s still looking for a home (as far as I know) and is a spunky, fun-loving pup. Such personality!
If you or anyone you know is looking to adopt (or foster!) a dog, make sure to check out Last Hope. They’re constantly getting in new dogs who all need a home.
